Introducing the
12-Position Instrument Strongback.
The 12-Position Instrument Strongback is the latest innovative nuclear outage solution by Preferred Engineering.
We specifically designed and fabricated this product to handle up to twelve BWR LPRM’s and Dry Tubes. The Strongback was recently supplied to a domestic BWR.
Features:
- Engineered and fabricated to NUREG 0612 and ANSI N14.6 standards.
- Electropolished stainless steel construction.
- Each load path is tested for 1-1.5x times the design load (as appropriate).
- Drain holes.
Benefits:
- Easily decontaminated.
- Prevents cavity water from spreading contamination.
- Easily disassembled into 3 pieces.
- Adjustable lift point for center of gravity .
- Customized tilt.
- Adjustable boss plates for multi-instrument compatibility.
